How long has FAM been bargaining?

TT/TCPL Bargaining Updates

Librarian Bargaining Updates

We are the Faculty Alliance of Miami, a union of faculty (currently, tenure-track, tenured and TCPL faculty) and librarians at Miami University. Every day, across ranks and campuses, Miami’s teacher-scholars foster student success and academic excellence. As a faculty-librarian union, we have formed a union to win fair compensation and working conditions and to protect our academic mission and the public good it has created.

To the faculty and librarians at Miami: Winning twin union elections for tenure-track, tenured and TCPL faculty and librarians at Miami in summer 2023 was the result of more than two years of your hard work building support for unionization. Your enthusiastic support and solidarity continues to inspire your negotiating team as we enter our second year of tough contract negotiations. The team has won major victories already and we expect to wrap up negotiations soon.

Get the latest news on negotiations here, and find out how to become a member of FAM here. Membership is your negotiating team’s leverage at the bargaining table. Join FAM to win the contract you deserve.

Do you have questions about what unionizing means to Miami & you?
