We are coming to the end of the first phase of FAM negotiations, where we’re getting the last of our proposals on the table. Today we passed across no fewer than nine proposals, each an important brick in the foundation of our bargaining platform. View them all in our Proposal Tracker!
We are looking out for faculty! In fact, several of our proposals help regional faculty specifically.
On management’s side, they rejected several of our proposals, including re-rejecting our proposals on Academic Freedom and parking. Unlike management, we are trying to move these negotiations forward. If you want to pressure management to work with us, not against us, we’ll see you at the Board of Trustees meeting this Friday, February 23rd at 9:00am! RSVP here to let us know you’ll be there!
Our next bargaining sessions are Friday, Feb. 23, for FAM-L and Monday, Feb. 26, for FAM-T. Both sessions will take place at the Demske Culinary Support Center, at 426 Wells Mill Drive in Oxford behind the Kroger shopping center. You can RSVP and receive more info at tinyurl.com/FAMBargaining.
Solidarity always!
