House Minority Leader Allison Russo and 23 Ohio House Representatives sent letters to President Crawford supporting FAM’s fight for a Fair Contract Now:
Friday, October 11
The Ohio House Democrats have united in support of FAM’s fight for a fair contract.
On Friday, Ohio House Minority Leader Allison Russo sent a letter to President Greg Crawford urging him to support Miami faculty and librarians — and the wider community — by coming to agreement with FAM on a Fair Contract Now. “Collectively, you can ensure that Miami University remains a leader in higher education, committed to fairness and excellence,” she wrote.
In a separate letter from the Ohio House Democrats, twenty-three representatives wrote President Crawford to “express our support for the Faculty Alliance of Miami (FAM AAUP-AFT) members who are doing the important work of educating the next generation of Miami students. […] These faculty members are an integral part of the Miami student experience, and they are the reason that Miami University is ranked No. 3 out of all public universities in the country in Undergraduate Teaching.”
