- Miami University Senate: Senate is Miami’s primary governance body. Each department is represented in Senate. At Senate meetings, students, faculty, staff, and administrators debate university issues and reach conclusions on the policies and actions to be taken by the institution. Many AAUP chapter members serve on Senate and on senate committees. Contact your senator and AAUP with concerns about issues at Miami.
